Knowing Bidah (Innovation), its definition, types, and levels has become a need for a Muslim today especially in an era where various forms of it are present in the matters of Aqeedah, worship, festivals, etc. Sheykh Abu Adnan explains this concept thoroughly in much detail in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah.

Warning about Bid’ah in religion, narrated by ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said:

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours (Islam) that is not a part of it will have it rejected.’” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 2697 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 4467)

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stated repeatedly that: “Every newly-invented thing is a bid’ah (innovation), every bid’ah is a going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire.”(Source: Sunan al-Nasā’ī 1578)
